You might want to check out the official NaNo boards for our region:

http://www.nanowrimo.... < That's OKC area. There's a kickoff party tomorrow evening in OKC.

As for official write- ins, our region doesn't seem to be as well organized on that yet. For MWC, I'm helping to try to fix that. With regards to Shawnee area, I have some ideas (I'm equidistant between both cities, so I can go wherever). I'll post info here as I get it if you'd like.

Edit: I post over there as battlechantress if you needed to know.

I'm doing Nano. Missed the meeting, but definitely going to do it this year. Heh.

Wow, the Nanowrimo site is being absolutely destroyed tonight. Kind of a warm feeling.

Even if I do want to kick the server and yell at it. wink

I'm Shadmere, over there, by the way. Just made my first post! :O

We tried having a regularly recurring write-in last year but haven't scheduled anything similar this year, mainly because most people involved seem to just want to write in their own lairs to be more productive. I can't say I blame them, although it is nice to get out and meet people.

I'm going to be all about random meetups at coffee shops with laptops, lattes, and ideas.

My NaNo username is bratta, so feel free to post your own here in this thread and add me to your writing buddies on the NaNo site!

My profile: http://www.nanowrimo....

I'm in no danger of hitting 10K words this week. I can't even get past 500. (My weekend went to hell thanks to bad stuff in the family. Now... I'm useless.)

Edit: *Finally* up to speed. It took most of the day, but now I'm slightly over the recommended minimum for Day 3. Phew. I hope it doesn't get any worse than this.
